Five trans propaganda books in Orono Middle School

There are at least five books in the Orono Middle School library that are pushing on your kids the idea that boys can become girls and girls can become boys. These books - Gracefully Grayson by Ami Polonsky, Obie is Man Enough by Schuyler Bailar, Too Bright to See by Kyle Lukoff, Lily and Duncan by Donna Gephart, and Zenobia July by Lisa Bunker – are not just fun stories that happen to include a character that identifies as the opposite sex. Each of them is a deliberately constructed work of propaganda meant to influence the young minds of our community toward a radical progressive worldview.

   Here are some of the ideas that your kids will find in these books:

-        A twelve-year-old with a penis can be a girl, or a twelve-year-old with a vagina can be a boy.

-        Being a girl means liking glittery pink pens and princess dresses.

-        Being a boy means wearing your hair short and not liking makeup or talking about boys all the time.

-        If you tell a gender confused kid that they really are not the opposite sex, they’re probably going to kill themselves, and the only way to stop them from killing themselves is to play along with their self-identification without question.

-        Teachers should be able to cast a boy as the female lead in the school play, and no one should object.

-        The only possible reason for an adult to oppose their child/ward trying to change their sex is out of fear that the child will be bullied, and even that is not a good reason to oppose transition treatment.

-        A kid should be able to use made-up “non-binary” pronouns.

-        Drag queens teaching boys how to use makeup and dress with feminine style is cute and normal.

-        The only people who oppose transitioning children or who don’t think boys can be girls are vicious bullies, abusive adults, or ignorant fools.

   I could go on, but I think that paints a pretty full picture. These books do not belong on the shelves of our middle school. No book that seeks to manipulate vulnerable young people into a self-destructive worldview should be in any school library.

   I encourage you to reach out to your school board, your superintendent, and the school librarian and demand that these books be removed from our middle school before one of your children reads them and wants to be given puberty blockers, hormone treatments, and genital surgeries as a result of these insane and destructive ideas.
